Paul is a creative professional in interior design with leadership experience on award-winning projects across all scales. His work practice encompasses all aspects of the creative process from establishing conceptual direction and design development through to project delivery and site management.
Prior to joining Crone, Paul was an integral member of the interiors teams at FJMT, Popov Bass, Jackson Teece and PTW working across a range of sectors. Key projects included Griffiths Tea Apartments, the RM Williams Flagship Store in NYC and Babcock & Brown commercial workplace in Sydney. He also ran his own successful practice for seven years chiefly designing high-end, boutique residential.
As Principal of Interiors for Crone, Paul brings 25 years of experience at the cutting edge of Australian Interior Design. With a background in Economics [ he worked for Macquarie Bank in his early career] combined with a lively, creative design talent Paul is able to design innovative and cost-effective outcomes for clients.
Paul is a member of the Male Champions of Change architecture node representing NSW, where he works with his peers from seven major practices to develop framework and policy to achieve gender equity in the design & architecture profession.
As a board member of the Sydney Design Institute, he advises on course development and education outcomes for the Interior Design streams. Working to ensure a balance of creative excellence coupled with workplace skills.
Pauls’s experience spans the breadth of the design sector from commercial, residential, hospitality, civic and retail. Paul oversees the Crone team and alongside the other executive staff provides design management, technical review, and delivery experience.
