With a Master’s degree of Architecture in her pocket, Sonia began her career by founding an architectural studio in Barcelona; allowing her to accrue valuable experience across all areas of professional practice. Actively involved in the design of public buildings, civic spaces, and infrastructure projects, Sonia’s detailed knowledge of the complexity of architectural practice is complemented through her studies in Business Management and Organisational Transition.
Trusted with an advocacy role from the Catalan Institute of Architects, Sonia devoted a substantial portion of her professional career to fostering public awareness in the benefits of Architecture and Design. She believes Architecture should always deliver a positive impact on people’s lives and moves with ease amongst the stakeholders and processes involved to achieve this.
Through the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Sonia acts as an industry mentor to foster the careers of the next generation of women in the building industry.
