Long Chim Restaurant

Celebrated Chef David Thompson intended his restaurant Long Chim to be about “cooking and offering the food and the atmosphere of the streets of Bangkok.”

“It will be noisy, open, there will be woks’a’fire, there will be smoke kindling and looming throughout the whole restaurant. […]we’re not going to try to disguise anything.”

The design is similarly honest and earthly, with materials and colour palettes derived from geology, metals, natural textiles, natural processes and patinas, bare neons and graffiti. It celebrates the beauty & the chaos of places where nature and civilisation meet.
